Community Water Grants Program
The Community Water Grants Program will
provide grants of up to $50 000 to communities to promote the wise use of water.
This program will be administered by the Australian Government
Department of the Environment and Heritage
and the
Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.

Stage 3a Water Restrictions
Melbourne has experienced below average rainfall since mid-2006 and stream flow
into our reservoirs during 2006 was the lowest recorded, so it is important that
we continue to save water. Stage 3a water restrictions have recently been

Showerhead Exchange Program
The State Government in collaboration with
water utilities will distribute 180,000 free water saving showerheads over the
next three years.
